Legal guardians are part of the personalized care program for people with mental illness supervised by the Legal Guardianship Foundation FECLEM located Castile and Leon. It is managed jointly through a partnership agreement signed in January 2015. It is a completely replicable for other entities dealing with the legal protection of people whose capacity has been judicially modified.
The aim of this program is to improve the quality of life of people supervised by the FECLEM Foundation. The Foundation gives direct response to their material and care needs in a context of proximity, encouraging people’s under legal guardianship satisfaction.
The role of the 7 legal guardians is to provide direct attention for people under legal guardianship. To be near them, the legal guardians have their job distributed among FECLEM offices in Leon, Burgos, Salamanca and Valladolid.
Legal guardians give individual attention to the people under legal guardianship and are coordinated with the Guardians of Reference for the Individual Intervention Plan implementation. It is used the most the most suitable coordination and regular monitoring tools, as well as a continuous monitoring for its evaluation performance.
